Joe McGinniss Jr.

Joe McGinniss Jr. (born 1970) is author of The Delivery Man and is an American writer whose debut 2008 novel was published by Grove/Atlantic, Inc.. He lives in Washington DC, with his wife, son and dog Vegas, a Labrador Retriever. He graduated from Swarthmore College and also attended American University where he obtained a Masters in Public Policy. McGinniss Jr. worked as a political consultant and as a Community Liaison focusing on development of programs for at-risk youths for Mayor Willie Brown in San Francisco.

McGinniss Jr. is the son of American writer Joe McGinniss, who is known for achieving early success at the age of 26 with the New York Times bestseller The Selling of the President (1968).

The Delivery Man, is Joe McGinniss Jr.'s first novel, published January 15, 2008. It is also the name of an album by Elvis Costello. McGinniss Jr.'s short fiction has appreared in Las Vegas Weekly.
